I am using Windows 7 64-bit and IE tester v0.4.2. I have NO service pack installed. When I try to alert an XML HTTP Request, i get this
.I am 100% sure that is NOT the real XMLHTTP response. It does that with all my AJAX requests.

Hi,

Can you post some code ? I'm sure to understand what you mean by "alert an XTM HTTP Request".

Also note that if this is related to 64 bits, I won't be able to work on this as I don't have a 64 bits machine so far. But as this my not be related to 64 bits, it can be good to check.

It's working fine on my machine. What is the IE instance version you are using ? Is it working with a "default IE" tab ?

I;m using IE 6 and it works with all other versions.

As it is working on my side, I think it's a problem with 64 bits platform.

Having the exact same error with Windows 7 32-bit and IE6-tab of IE Tester only.

Reports on the internet relate it to IE6 not being able to handle the data returned gzip'ed. We do not have gzip compression enabled or even installed on our apache box so it's something happening within ietester as I've confirmed it to be working fine on a real IE6 install.
