Thanks for IE tester / Windows 7 : IE7 not working ?

Hi u all and hi to IE Tester Dev Team !
I've just recently discovered IE Tester. And it saves me a lot of headaches.
So a big thank you to anyone involved in this software : it's an absolute great tool (and a nice one also). Great and effective.
Keep up the good work !
Now for a little problem :
It seems IE7 in IE Tester with Windows 7 is not working. I tried to specify several URLs with no success (return a blank page).
Is it a known problem or am i the only one with it ?
Thanks again for IE Tester.

Re: Thanks for IE tester / Windows 7 : IE7 not working ?

Hi,

IE7 instance under Windows 7 is not very stable; Local urls are not working, but I can browser web sites (my system is Win7 32 bits).

Can you give a sample url you are trying to use ?

Thanks.

On my machine, your url is directly crashing the IE7 tab :-O What is your OS version, 32 ou64 bits ?

I'll check what's wrong when I'll get some time.

Thanks for your support and your time Fabrice smile
OS version is Windows 7 - 32 bits. I'm not sure about this but I think I remembered it worked once.
Now IE7 is not working at all, for any URLs.
Comment ça va à Toulouse sinon ? Même si je n'y suis allé qu'une fois c'est une ville qui m'a beaucoup plu wink

Re: Thanks for IE tester / Windows 7 : IE7 not working ?

Strange, maybe this is because an IE extension is generating a crash with IETester, or Visual Studio or Microsoft Script Debugger. I'll investigate for future versions.

Tout va bien a Toulouse, mais froid, comme le reste de la France ;-)

Hi, the IE7-Tab works fine on Win7pro x64, when you have a server (for example Xampp) installed and check your Local Html-file like this: http/localhost/htdocs/yourpage.html

But when you type in the real path like this: C:\xampp\htdocs\yourpage.html, the Tab will be blank.

@Schnetty : I'm not sure to understand your problem exactly.

Is it about local pages not working ? This has been reported several times and is present in this thread as well : http://www.my-debugbar.com/forum/p2233- … html#p2233

Yes - I know about the problems with local files but i don´t have a problem with the IE7 Tab. My solution is the use of an installed local Webserver like Xampp. When I copy the files in the htdocs folder and view the files by typing in the following: http://localhost/htdocs/myfile.html then the IE7-Tab works. The only Prob is the crash of the IE7 Tab after a view Minutes of running. But i don´t have installed any IE-Extensions or anything else.

Re: Thanks for IE tester / Windows 7 : IE7 not working ?

IETester is in "ALPHA" version, which means that it is not very stable yet.
