DebugBar - How to Install?

I have run the downloaded program, which then opens the "debugbar should be available on next start up..." message.  However there is absolutely nothing in the Tools -> Toolbars list, i have

- Menu
- Favourites
- Command
- Status

and then customize as well.

It just doesn't seem to be anywhere in addons, or toolbars etc...

I am using IE8 on Windows 7 Professional and downloaded debugbar-v5.4.1

Thanks

Re: DebugBar - How to Install?

By The Way, this works perfectly in IE6 on a virtual machine, is it just not compatible with IE8?

Re: DebugBar - How to Install?

Hi,

Are you on x64 platform ? If so, are you using IE 64 bits or IE 32 bits ?

Thanks.

Re: DebugBar - How to Install?

That's the problem. DebugBar plugin is available only in 32 bits, so if you launch IE 64bits, you won't have DebugBar integrated.

On Windows 7 64 bits, you should also have IE 32 bits. You can try to launch this IE version and DebugBar should be present.

Re: DebugBar - How to Install?

jay! perfect.  didn't know there were 3 versions in win7...  (you have "no addons" version too)

that + having virtual machines for ie 6 and ie 7 actually makes win7 quite good for developing stuff that has to be cross browser.

thanks so much!
