Re: Jquery gives error in IE tester

Yes, that is what I got it as well. It seems some plugins, such as lightbox creates this error. If you browse jquery.org, you will see another kind of error as well.

Re: Jquery gives error in IE tester

Well, looks like there is a problem because I have a script error when I am using IE6 on XP under my virtual machine :

Regarding my screenshot I get a javascript on the url you gave. Is it the same on your side ?

Re: Jquery gives error in IE tester

Yes, that's it. So you think IE tester is working but the js has a script error?

Re: Jquery gives error in IE tester

Yes ! if IE6 is generating a javascript error, IETester will generate a javascript error and that's ok. What's wrong ?

I use vista.
This IE6-XPSP3 is for specially IE 6 only and you can download from MS.

Re: Jquery gives error in IE tester

So maybe it is an updated version of IE6, because I am using XP-IE6 (without service pack) and I know this IE6 version is an old one and service packs have version with some minor corrections.

I will try to pack the newest version of IE6 in a future version of IETester, this should solve the problem.

Re: Jquery gives error in IE tester

What is exactly your IE6 version (you can see that on the about box).

I just tested with a XP SP2 and IE6 virtual machine. The IE6 version I am using is 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.080814-1233

and I still get the javascript error. If you have a different version on your SP3 machine, I will setup a XPSP3 with IE6 virtual machine to do some more tests.

Thanks for your feedback.

Re: Jquery gives error in IE tester

:-( I think I will need to crate a VM with SP3 with IE6... I will keep you informed through the forum.
