IETester works fine on my platform (XP SP2 IE 7). But I found one small bug:

When the first opened tab ist IE6, you get an IETester crash and the program shuts down.
Every other vorsion as first tab works. Also second tab IE6 works out fine.

By the way: incredible usefull tool. Thanks a lot.

Strange,

I tested on a XP SP2/IE7 virtual machine and it is working on my side, no crash.

Do you have some custom install, or custom IE extensions install that might interact with IETester ? (should not be a problem, but I don't know what's wrong).

Same problem with me. I have to open an IE7 tab first, then I am am save to open an IE6 tab.

WinXP Home, Parallels under Mac OS X Tiger, IE7 installed.

Additionally I am working with Multiple IE, but your tool seems handier to me!

v0.2.2 will be launched soon but will not solve this problem yet. I am working on it but couldn't find a solution so far. I hope to correct it soon in a future release.

I get this error when running in Parallels too. Strangely, everything works fine in my Windows XP virtual machine in the office but crashes in my XP or 2003 virtual machine at home.

Is there any way to post some debug information Fabrice? I notice that there isn't anything showing in the Event Log.

Thanks for the feedback. I could reproduce the problem on side and working on it to correct it on a future release.

I will maybe recontact you on a future release for a check because I can't test on Parallels, so your feedback would be welcome.

I downloaded and installed IETester yesterday (install-ietester-v0.2.3.exe). If I launch IETester and select IE 6 from New Tab, I get a program crash. If I lanuch my IE-7 app, and then launch IETester and select IE 6 from New Tab, IETester does not crash. I just wanted to add this detail to thread, to possibly help with finding solution to bug.

I did major changes for the next version. it will be released soon, so I hope the problem will be solved.
