XP SP3 IE 8 ProblemsI'm running a fresh install of XP SP3 in a virtual machine with IE 8 RC 1. With IE Tester 0.2.3 opening IE 6 or IE 5.5 tabs causes a crash. The other strange problem is that although the default IE is 8 RC 1 when I try to use the default tab it tries to open Firefox, which is the default browser. The later is more annoying that anything else, but the former is a major issue. Re: XP SP3 IE 8 ProblemsThanks for the quick response! I look forward to the new version. I really like the idea of being able to test on multiple ie versions with out running them in WINE or multiple VMs! Offline #4 2009-03-10 16:58:09
Re: XP SP3 IE 8 ProblemsWell I downloaded the new version and when I try the default IE it now opens an IE 8 tab! Hurray! However, It sill crashes for IE 6 and IE 5.5 unless I open an IE 8 tab first. Then it works. Offline #5 2009-03-10 17:01:57Re: XP SP3 IE 8 ProblemsThanks for the feedback... I will have a look at the problem. Offline #6 2009-03-10 17:13:14
Re: XP SP3 IE 8 ProblemsAlso it crashes when I use the All IEs Tab. Thanks for all the great work! IE tester is probably my favourite Windows webdev app! Maybe we'll see a Linux version someday? :-p Offline #7 2009-03-10 17:14:27Re: XP SP3 IE 8 ProblemsI''l try to make it compatible with wine in the future. I am focusing on integrating DebugBar into IETester right now. Offline |
