Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3
No, it crashes after about 5 mins. Offline #7 2009-06-05 12:26:45Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3Well, this is a limitation so far. I don't know if it's even possible to make it stable. Offline #8 2009-06-05 13:55:58
Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3
This crash was introduced in version 0.3.3, i.e. it didn't exist previously. It must have been caused by one of the two changes you made: Offline #9 2009-06-05 14:00:30Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3I have also updated the dlls to the latest versions provided by windows update. This might have an impact. Offline #10 2009-06-12 08:17:20
Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3Please don't remove IE 5.5. You can make optional install of it deselected by default and mark it "Unstable" or even "Unsupported". Offline #12 2009-06-13 13:41:49

No tab open, no crash. Offline #15 2009-06-16 00:46:32
Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3I'm unable to reproduce a crash bug. The tool runs fine for me on Windows XP SP3. Offline #16 2009-06-16 14:29:09
Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3I'm suffering crashes since I upgraded to 0.3.3. I can *always* reproduce it: The crash happens when I launch IETester, open an empty IE 7 tag and wait a few minutes. I don't need to load a site to get the crash and I don't get a crash with 5.5, 6 or 8 tabs. Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3The fact that you are running IE8 may be the issue. I am running IE7 on my XP VM. Offline #22 2009-06-20 17:58:12
Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3
IE 5.5 has 0.03% market share* -- what do you need it for? Offline #23 2009-06-20 21:38:05
Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3Besides, if you really need to test your stuff with IE 5.5, then remove the doctype from your pages, and IE 6/7/8 will render your page in quirks mode, which is the IE 5.5 rendering. Offline #24 2009-06-25 01:14:30
Re: crashing crashing crashing :( - MS Windows XP sp3 - IETester 0.3.3I am having the same problem, only it crashes immediately using IE 6. If I have it set to load a blank page on start, it allows me enough time to put in a url and navigate to the page, but then it crashes. If it uses any page as the default home page, it crashes immediately. I am testing IE 6 primarily on the following site: Offline #25 2009-06-26 11:46:17
