Different Display between IE6 (IE-Tester) and MS IE6

Hi,

iīm working an a new Website with an CSS-Only Dropdown Menu. It works on all actually Browsers (Opera10, FF3/3.5, IE7/8, Safari4, Google Chrome)
But it doesnīt work in IE6. My System is Windows Vista Ultimate and on Vista the old IE6 doesnīt work. So I searched by Google and found the IE-Tester.

In IE Tester the Menu works fine with IE6 Emulation. But on a Windows Server 2003 with IE6 /SP2 (Server of a friend of mine)  the Website doesnīt work.

My Website is lokal under XAMPP so i canīt post a Link,  but the Menu works in an Websitebaker-Template (CMS) so you can take a look with an "real" MS IE6 and with IE-Tester to see the different display between IE-Tester and real IE6:

http://addons.websitebaker.org/pages/te … .php?id=25

IE Tester therefore renders not just like the real IE - Thus, the IE tester for me is rather useless.
Has anyone ever seen the like.

I had a same sort of problem, but found out that you have to close all other internet explorers outside ietester and restart ietester to get the correct rendering.

worked for me tho.

Re: Different Display between IE6 (IE-Tester) and MS IE6

Oh thanx, i will try it, but iīm sure i had no other IE Instance running when iīm starting IE-Tester. A Friend of mine says, my CSS-Menu works on a Win98SE with IE6/SP1 (started in a VM) perhaps IE is rendering in a different way on different OS-Version or different Service-Packs!? I donīt know ...
