IETester on XP with IE8 - Safe?

I know IETester doesn't work reliably without IE7 installed, but I'm wondering if it works with IE8.

I'm getting Windows Update prompts to install IE8. If I do that, will IETester still work well?  I can just keep IE7, of course, but if I can upgrade it without breaking the more important IETester, I will.

Of course. And you're a bit late to update. IE9 is to come...
