Tabbed browsing in IETester

Hi everyone,

I love IETester. Just what a developer needs.
I have one suggestion though.

Since IETester's purpose is to test the layout display of single sites, tabbed browsing doesn't make much sense in the current way, imo.

It would be much easier if all supported browsers are already opened into tabs and typing an url into the adress bar would make all tabs load that particular url. Also if you hit a link on any of the version-tabs, the link visit should be simulated in all other tabs aswell.

That way I always have four tabs of the same website in different IE Versions.
It would be much easier to compare the sites in all versions and when support of more browsers are added, the number of tabs would increase accordingly.

The menu bar would look sth like this:
http://www.n-des.de/MyIETester.jpg

I think this would make it much easier to use IETester for what it is intended to do.

If i want to use tabbed browsing to visit different websites I'd use the real IE (or more likely, Firefox *g*)

Re: Tabbed browsing in IETester

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. Other similar suggestions were posted on the forums also. I will change this in a future version  to make a kind of "linked" tabs that will behave and browse the same pages.
