Crash in Windows XP with 5.5 and 6I'm running Windows XP Professional SP3 in Spanish. I read that IE Tester has problems with XP+IE6 so I upgraded to IE7, reboot and finally installed IE Tester v0.2.3. Offline #2 2009-01-15 16:46:50

Re: Crash in Windows XP with 5.5 and 6You're right. I had "Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar" installed. I've removed it (it didn't even show up in my brand new IE7 so it wasn't of any use) and everything runs smoothly now. Offline #4 2009-01-15 17:10:36
Re: Crash in Windows XP with 5.5 and 6Good. I didn't know this add-on could crash IETester. I'll try to correct that in a future release. Offline #5 2009-01-17 10:24:32
Re: Crash in Windows XP with 5.5 and 6Found another crasher : Adobe PDF toolbar in IE7 Offline #6 2009-01-19 00:23:15
Re: Crash in Windows XP with 5.5 and 6Thanks. I will work on those problems for the next versions. Offline #7 2009-01-27 08:03:52
Re: Crash in Windows XP with 5.5 and 6I have the crashing problem. XP Service Pack 3 / IE7. All was fine last week. I've removed the developer toolbar and it still crashes (after launching and before selecting the required browser). The only thing I can think of is that I have installed the Google Chrome browser. Is there a clash there? Offline #8 2009-01-27 08:09:41
Re: Crash in Windows XP with 5.5 and 6Google Chrome should not have any impact on IETester. Do you have other ie add-ons installed ? Offline #9 2009-01-27 08:33:49
Re: Crash in Windows XP with 5.5 and 6Nothing else installed since the problem arose. I was using the Tester for all browser options successfully until then. I haven't used it for a few days so I don't know for sure that it happened after installing Google Chrome. I set Chrome is as the default browser by the way. Re: Crash in Windows XP with 5.5 and 6Really strange. So it is crashing at startup ? or when you try to open a tab (which version) ? Offline |
