Congrats!

Great idea!

Excelent interface!

I think no one thought about that. Especially the MS guys that created a whole virtual machine disk just to test IE6!

Just a crash (high CPU usage) for now: "Customize Quick Access Toolbar" -> select "Home" from the drop-down list -> infinite CPU loop.

Re: Congrats!

Hi Ricardo,

Thanks for the feedback !

Do you have a big favorites list ? Selecting Home is loading favorites list, so this may be slow... It is working on my side.

Strange...

Re: Congrats!

Will be more patient and see if it responds...

Hehe, sorry for the false alert! It does respond...
We can add any link from the Favorites to the ribbon's quick access bar... I wasn't thinking on that wink

However, many added links are unclickable, they are grayed-out buttons and thus being useless in this form.

Anyway, can this algorithm be faster, can't it?

----------------------
Extra suggestions:
- Ability to duplicate tabs (like in Opera) wink
- Ability to change/disable the "home-page" for the tabs (the page opened on every new tab).
- Ability to browse FTPs.
- Tabs' mouse-over effect could work for all opened tabs.

Re: Congrats!

Having the Favorites in the "customize" box is a side effect... It may change in the future.

Browsing FTP is working on my side : ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/

I know download is not working (in http, so maybe the same in ftp).

Re: Congrats!

Yeah, the FTP is working now (I think my previous Windows session was crazy...)

Will we have translations for IETester?

About the JS code used on the page http://www.my-debugbar.com/ietester/ to detect IE's version, it is far away from the Microsoft's recommended method and it is even detecting FF and Opera as "IE 7".

Re: Congrats!

Hi Ricardo,

About the JS code : The JS code is finding IE version WITHOUT using user agent string and navigator object. This is because those informations may be ovveridden by registry settings.
And the deal was to have for sure the jscript version used by the MSHTML instance, regardless registry settings.
Detecting FF and Opera as IE7 is a side effect... I will correct it in the future.

About translations, yes that is in the todo, should come soon.

Re: Congrats!

Does the Favorites list (opened from the Favorites button) has some limit on the number of favorites accepted? Here, many links are grayed-out and can't be clicked. Also, that list is very slow to scroll-down, doesn't accept any type of search, doesn't let the user organize the list, it lists folders between the links, ...

---------------
Any ideas of when the next DebugBar version will be ready?
