working on Windows 7

I was wondering if you have any plans to get IETester working on Windows 7 ? I've tried installing v.0.2.3 on Windows 7. the .exe installer completes without errors and the program launches and opening new IE7 tabs works well, but opening new IE6 tabs IETest stop working.

There is IE8 on windows 7.

Win 7 is not even beta at this moment. What do you want with it? Forget it until RC stage.

I agree with Ricardo. I will start working on Win7 when it is at least in beta or in RC stage :-O

Re: working on Windows 7

Any chance for a fix now that it's officially in public beta?

Re: working on Windows 7

Can I install Windows 7 in a virtual machine using Virtual PC 2007 ? If so, and if you can give me access to Windows 7 beta  (looks like it is only downloadable by MSDN users), then I can try if it is working.

Re: working on Windows 7

Ok, downloading Windows 7 now. I don't know if I will be able to install it in a virtual machine. Will try and see what happens.

Re: working on Windows 7

Great. smile It *should* work fine in Virtual PC, as far as I know that's how some people are running it.

Cool ! I am installing it right now. Will keep you informed (may take a while anyway, plenty of other things to do...).

Re: working on Windows 7

Regarding Windows 7 support... IETester will crash if you open an IE6 or 5.5 tab. Otherwise it works fine. I'm using 0.2.3

Re: working on Windows 7

Hi,

I checked and there is a strange "Stack Overflow" bug appearing on a strange thread... Very weard bug.
I don't think I will correct for the next release, but I will work on it and I will try to correct it on a future release.

Re: working on Windows 7

Hi,

IETester v 0.3.5 is now working under Windows 7 : Note that it is still unstable and trying to open all version at the same time can crash the application.
