It was the Microsoft Script Debugger... I didn't have it installed.

Also your forum "subscribe to this topic" never notified me of your reply so you may have an issue there.

Lastly,  I too cannot get the console.log to work.  It just does nothing:

In [15]=
    console.log('yo')
Out[15]=

Thanks for manually 'subscribing me to the topic'

That test page results in 4 errors/0 log.  The errors are around the console.log statements.  From a console I can type console.log w/out error but it does not do anything.

I would be happy to help you investigate this further.  Just let me know of any additional steps you would like me to try.  I would also be willing to install a debug version of your toolbar to capture more info.

It's still not resolved!

Browser: IE 7.0.5730.11
OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP3
CompanionJS 0.5.3

Javascript debugging is enabled, i read the instructions

when i type something in CompanionJS console and press enter, it prints message " The Companion.JS Debugger could not connect to IE instance yet. Be sure to have unchecked the "Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)" in the IE options. If yes, do not hesitate to contact us at http://www.debugbar.com/contact.php to report the problem."

that is the problem.
