Site generates many error messages and displays wrong in IE6

Hi guys,

I think it's a script issue, but when loading one of my sites Http://www.vliegwinkel.nl it ends up not the way we designed smile

I'am running XP SP3 with IE7 and IETester 0.3.2

Furthermore I love this tool, it does what is named for and doing it well !

Re: Site generates many error messages and displays wrong in IE6

Hi Ricardo,

Not sure why the link ended up like that
What's your config where you see the site working properly in ?
As extra info my IE7 installed is 7.0.5730.13

I'm using Vista SP1+IE8 as my system.
Your site has the same appearance in IE6, IE7, IE8 using IETester.
Anyway, wait for Fabrice to look at that.

Re: Site generates many error messages and displays wrong in IE6

Hi,

And what should be the design ? If you could describe the problems that could save me some time....

Just test on IE6 tab on VISTA SP1 and IE8 installed and I don't see the difference....

Re: Site generates many error messages and displays wrong in IE6

Hi Fabrice,

this design of the site is to make it the same in all IE browsers as of IE6

what I see is that for some reason the javascript code is not read properly
for example if I start VS2008 on debug request I see the break at :
<script type="text/javascript" language="Javascript">initDate();<

so as far as I can conclude it's a javascript issue, and only with IE6 tab
also it seems to be on XP (SP3 with IE7 installed) only as you report it to be working ok on Vista

hopefully this makes it more clear for you to investigate

Sorry I don't understand.

What is the problem ? something like "the text is not displayed here and displayed ina  real IE6, or a wrong image positioning, or something else ?
