Re: Tab IE7 crashes after installing IE8

Does it crash all the time ? After some time ? on a specific url ? during page load ? after page load ? directly when you open an IE7 tab ? Only when you open an IE7 tab as the first tab ?

Re: Tab IE7 crashes after installing IE8

It crashes every time... the minute I press the IE7 tab, it crashes. The problem happened after the last Windows update and probably when IE8 Beta was replaced by IE 8.0.6001.1870

...

I replaced the startpage with "blanco", and it seems to work now. So there is a problem with my startpage with IE7? All the other tabs are working fine... i cannot start my work website with tab IE7? This problem didn't happen before the update. Maybe a script (woopra or google) is causing the problem with the IE7 tab? I will try to find out...

...

When i remove the following lines, it doesn't crash with IE7 tab:
        <!-- google -->
        <script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
        <script type="text/javascript">_uacct = "UA-XXXXXXX-X";urchinTracker();</script>

I know that "google-analytics.com" is blocked by us, so probably that's causing a problem with the IE7 tab. It probably crashes due to a IE script error? Object expected related error?

...

Problem solved itselves after applying a change (which has nothing to do with it) in the internet options ==> advanced tab. Now it shows me a popup with a script error (the google script). Strange, but the problem is gone.

I only cannot suppres this error from popping up? I have checked the "Disable script debugging" and unchecked the "Display a notification about every script error".
