URLs Fail without using www. / DebugBar forums

I have found this issue and don't understand how to get around it. I am attempting to use IETester for IE9. When I enter a URL of http://www.yahoo.com, no problem - get the Yahoo home page. However, if I try to shorten this to http://yahoo.com, I receive the following error message: A tab has crashed for an unknown reason. You can reopen the tab by clicking the "Reopen Tab" button. When I click the Reopen Tab button, it crashes again.

Is this an issue or is there a workaround or is it user error?

I am using Windows 7 32-bit and IE 8.0.7600.16385

Hi,

I can reproduce the problem on my machine, but I don't have any correction or workaround so far. I'll try to investigate and correct it if I can on a future version.
