IETester crashes when I open a new TAB / DebugBar forums

I just installed the program. When I try to open a new TAB in any version of IE I crash. I am running Vista Ultimate 32 bit.

Hi,

Which ie version tab are you trying to open first ? IE6 should not be launch as first tab : It may crash. This is a known bug.

Also, what is your default IE Version ?

Oops sorry, read too fast... "in any version of IE".

Really strange. Do you have some security activated, like DEP active for all programs ?

data execution prevention? how do I make sure its not on for all programs?

You can find the dialog box by clicking "Properties" on the "Computer" icon right-click menu.
Then, select "Advanced system parameters", then "Performances" button, then third tab.

it does say "Data Execution Prevention" has closed IETester.

Try to disable DEP for IETester and see if it is working.

only for IETester or for your entire machine ? I think only for IETester (I trust myself :-O) is ok. For the entire machine, I don't know.

that didn't make the difference.. I realized that I had the home page set to the page I need to get to which is a security cam that won't run in ie7. When I make the home page a blank and then open a tab(ie6) and go to wwwyahoo.com it doesn't crash but when I type in robyns.dyndns.org(the cam) it crashes.

I don't what the problem is. I will need time to investigate, the main problem is that it is working on my machine, and it looks like it is not working on your machine only for your special web site.
Maybe this is something due to an activeX used on this site that is crashing IETester.

Same problem here, IETester just crashes when visiting sites, regardless of the browser version. Seems to be "fixed" by uninstalling the Microsoft Script Debugger. Helps at least to debug the layout of some webpage again.
