How to work with the console? / DebugBar forums

Hi, I downloaded and installed the debugbar, the companion.js and the MS Script Debugger as well and everything seem to look functionning well with the exception of the console. I try to write something to the console using a call to console.log ("message") but nothing appears. I searched the documentation but found nothing expliciting how to use the console.log() feature.

Hi,

The console.log function can be used in javascript code for logging/debugging purpose for instance.

You can try this basic page for an example :

Hi,

Even with your test page, I'm still getting an error on console.log() and nothing displayed in the console itself. I'm with WinXP SP2, IE7, so I suppose that I'm one of those unlucky peoples with problems with Companion.JS and IE7.

Hi,

Yes, you are like some other people that reported problems with "console.log".
If you are interested, I can send you custom version that generate logs you can send me so I can try to correct the problem.

Pas de problème, envoyez-moi la version spéciale qui enregistre tout, tout, tout et je vais installer ça sur ma machine.
