IEtester Installation help needed

Please excuse me if I have overlooked something obvious in the installation instructions. I have searched the forums and read many posts but I am still having trouble installing IEtester and getting it to show up in my native copy of IE7.

From what I understand the app needs to be installed with administrator rights on a windows machine. I got a password set up on XP and have right clicked on the set-up files then entered my password at the prompt.

It did install on my machine but I cannot find it in the "manage Add-ons" of IE7. From what I understand from reading other posts is that if I do not see it there then it did not install properly. I can open the IEtester from a desktop shortcut but it it seems to be useless with out running it within IE.

Can someone give me some install advice please?

Re: IEtester Installation help needed

Hi,

First, IETester does not need to be installed as admin.

IETester is a complete application and not an Internet Explorer extension. IETester allows you to opens IE tabs which are from different IE versions. Then you can download urls and test them against different IE versions.

So, IETester is not intended to run under IE.
