JS Debugger not connected / DebugBar forums

I'm on Win XP Pro SP3. Just installed Microsoft Script Debugger, then installed Companion.JS. Have both debug checkboxes unchecked in my Internet Options. Cannot debug with Companion.JS - Microsoft Script Debugger launches whenever I'm prompted with a JS error. Went to About and have this:

Companion.JS BHO loaded : OK
JS Debugger Thread running : OK
JS debugger version : NEW
JS Debugger not connected : PROBLEM
Internet Explorer Version : 7.0.6000.16827
Protected Mode : OFF

Any ideas?

Hi,

Do you have IE7Pro add-on installed ?

No you shouldn't, IE7Pro uses debugger as well and Companion.JS cannot connect.

Are you running Microsoft Script Debugger all the time ? Once MSDebugger is launched and connected Companion.JS cannot connect anymore.

I don't think I have MSDebugger launched, but honestly I can't tell. How can I ensure that MSDebugger is NOT running?

You should have a window opened, so I suppose you don't have MSDebugger running.

I don't see what can be wrong :-(

I have exactly the same issue.

same IE version 7.06, Vista.

Whats strange is the first time I intall it, it worked great - however since rebooting it just won't work.
