IE6 doesn't work!!

Windows XP - SP 3 - on IMac with Parallels Desktop - IE7 installed - Last IEtester version installed

Hi!
When I try to open a site with IE6 (and IE5.5. too) nothing appears: "about:blank" always remains on the tab and the page is completely blank.
Do you know what's the problem?

Thanks!

Working on my side. Are you running in multi-process or mutli-thread mode ?

Re: IE6 doesn't work!!

IETester can run in two modes :

* multi-thread mode : There is only one process and all the tabs run in the same process, on thread per tab.

* multi-process mode : there is one main process to handle the main window, and then, one process per tab.

When running IETester, you should have the mode information on the window title.

Re: IE6 doesn't work!!

I've noticed that sometimes it happens also with IE8.

Re: IE6 doesn't work!!

I've installed a fresh Vista SP1/IE8 VM instance and IETester is working without troubles.

Do you have some IE extensions installed ?

Re: IE6 doesn't work!!

I've installed the accessibility toolbar for IE7 and IE6 and IE5 stand alone versions. Maybe these cause problems.

Re: IE6 doesn't work!!

I have had issues trying to run an instance of IE6 in IEtester with a Internet Explorer window open. I would suggest closing any other browsers and see if that helps.
